2021: A Year in Review at Spire

For Spire, 2021 was truly a year of “firsts.” In January, Polaris Pacific first joined the Spire Team as Sales Management. Joining our team to head a new sales direction was the dynamic sales duo with Larry Ahrens as Sales Manager and Derek Koch as Sales Associate. Since the re-launch of sales, standing proudly alongside the Space Needle, amidst local culture and dining, Spire has set the record for most homes sold in Downtown Seattle, and is the second highest-selling residential building on the entire West Coast.

Join us as we take a look back at major milestones reached and reasons to celebrate Spire’s success this past year.

Spring

In May 2021, Spire hits a sales record of 15 homes sold in that month alone. Shortly after this Spire hits 50 sales for 2021! Finishing touches were being finalized throughout the residences and amenity levels in eager anticipation to introduce model residences to the public. This quarter we debuted a new video showcasing the Spire Automated Valet, Seattle’s first fully automated parking system (APS), designed and installed by Parkworks. Both The Seattle Times and Curiocity covered the news.

Summer

In July the Spire models were installed. The newly-opened model homes, housed on Spire’s 27th floor, welcomed tours offering a view into Spire’s elegant, thoughtfully-designed homes and incredible views. All four were outfitted by the award-winning New York design agency, IMG. Building completion followed in August with our first homeowners moving in to call our community home in late-August and September. Move-in ready homes became available to new homebuyers. The Registry covered the milestone, “With the debut of Spire, homebuyers now have the option for elevated living in Seattle that is simply unmatched,” said Paul Menzies, CEO of Laconia. “Every home offers a grand view of the iconic skyline due to the building’s thoughtful design. From the city’s first automated parking system to luxurious amenities, there is truly no other option like Spire in the market.”

Fall

In November Spire was nominated for both NAIOP’s “Residential High-Rise of the Year” and People’s Choice, taking home the award for Seattle’s “Residential High-Rise of the Year” for the Pacific Northwest. The Washington State Chapter honors outstanding real estate developments, and we were thrilled to take home the trophy which was presented at the NAIOPWA 2021 Night of the Stars Gala, the awards ceremony honored an impressive slate of commercial real estate projects that serve the community with innovations in retail, office, industrial and multi-family development. We also reached a milestone of the building being 25% occupied and 50% sold that month!

Closing out the year we can proudly claim 100 closings & 100 sales at Spire!

As we look back at 2021, we can’t help but get excited for 2022. We have so much to look forward to! Here’s a preview of what’s coming in the New Year:
