The South Lake Union Saturday Market returns weekly for the 8th season, starting now through September 30. The thriving market is conveniently located just next door to Denny Park in the heart of South Lake Union neighborhood featuring over 65 booths from Makers, food purveyors and food trucks.

Walk to the Seattle waterfront, your binoculars and camera in tow! One of the most iconic things to do in a Pacific Northwest summer is to go on a Seattle whale-watching tour. This is the perfect time to see our local whales playing in their natural habitat, and they love showing off for the boats.

 

Outside of a picnic atop Level 40 on Spire’s SLU Terrace, the Amazon Seafair Summer Fourth is the best way to experience the 4th of July in the Pacific Northwest. The show features a fully choreographed fireworks presentation accompanied by a musical score and a host of pre-show activities during the day. There are several seating options and multiple vantage points to enjoy the show, Lake Union for an overhead view, Gas Works Park for a hilltop view, and Lake Union Park for a darker sky view. Each location offers its own unique experience.

 

Summer in Seattle is the perfect time to cheer on the local soccer team, the Sounders. Head to Lumen Field to join the enthusiastic soccer fans Seattle is known for having. Die-hard fans know every single chant, so it doesn’t hurt to learn some of the words to fit in before you go.

 

Movies at the Mural. Experience movies outdoors at Seattle Center each summer. Picnic on the gently sloping Mural Amphitheatre lawn, in front of a state-of-the-art 40-foot screen, with the Space Needle looming above. The Midsummer Classic returns to the Emerald City on July 11. Get ready for an unforgettable 2023 All-Star Week featuring the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, T-Mobile Home Run Derby, the 93rd edition of the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard and additional festivities throughout Seattle.

 

Grab and friend and get your art fix in Belltown. Every month on the second Friday, the community is welcomed into galleries, shops, and art studios to enjoy exhibits and meet Seattle-based artists during the Belltown Art Walk. Events are coming up on July 14, August 11 and September 8.

Day In Day Out is coming to the heart of Seattle. This 2-day music festival will be in the Fisher Pavilion at the Seattle Center on August 12-13. Bon Iver and Leon Bridges are headlining the music festival this year. Other headliners include Dominic Fike, Willow, Explosions in the Sky, and Alex G.
