“Inspired Living” VIP Reception Hosted on October 26 Welcomes Prospective Homebuyers and Industry Leaders

Executives of Laconia Development and Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) will celebrate the official grand opening of the SPIRE Sales Center today during a VIP reception at the newly completed, 5,000 sq. ft. venue located at 2218 5thAvenue in Belltown. Presales for the much-anticipated new condominium development will commence with members of the public beginning Saturday, October 27 at 11 a.m. The 344-unit condominium tower is now under construction at 600 Wall Street with occupancy scheduled for late 2020.

“This market debut for SPIRE is the successful culmination of years of planning by leading industry professionals having the common goal of building a new landmark for living,” said Paul Menzies, CEO of Laconia Development and representative of Seattle Realty One, LLC, the developer of SPIRE. “We look forward to welcoming our new homebuyers to this inspired community.”

Menzies confirms that new home reservations have been accepted on more than 100 homes, which are now being processed as presales. As part of the sales debut, prospective buyers may now enter directly into purchase agreements.

“We have assembled an experienced team of professionals to begin processing presales immediately,” said Dean Jones, President and CEO of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, the exclusive listing brokerage for SPIRE Condominiums. “We are fortunate to have a highly coveted product to sell and extraordinary tools to help convey the developer’s vision.”

Jones points to the newly completed, 5,000-sq. ft. SPIRE Sales Center that showcases a full-scale model home of a 1,183 sq. ft. two-bedroom residence designed by VIA Architecture and Robin Chell Design with interior furnishings and artwork curated by Roche Bobois and Missoni Home®. The venue includes a design center and additional kitchen and bathroom vignettes to illustrate two designer color schemes “Dawn” and “Dusk”. Other exhibits include a 9-foot scale model of the tower, a context model of the neighborhood and immersive virtual reality experiences presented on a life-sized rear projection screen by Wipliance. Numerous digital displays and videos highlight building amenities and high-tech features such as the fully-automated parking system by Sotefin® and home automation options and upgrades available for buyer personalization.

A representative collection of unit listings is now posted to the NWMLS with an offer review date scheduled for October 31.  This date follows the grand opening of the SPIRE Sales Center and invites prospective buyers to preview during the public sales event scheduled for October 27.  Prospective buyers can also choose from a mix of property types and price points as follows:

  • 1 Bedroom / 1 Bathroom (531 – 776 Sq. Ft.) from $479,950
  • 1 Bedroom + Den / 1 Bathroom (1,101 Sq. Ft.) from $914,950
  • 2 Bedroom / 1 Bathroom (929 Sq. Ft.) from $869,950
  • 2 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom (1,178 – 1,243 Sq. Ft.) from $1,019,950
  • 2 Bedroom + Den / 2.5 Bathroom (1,769 Sq. Ft.) from $2,899,950
  • 3 Bedroom / 3 Bathroom (1,825 – 1,995 Sq. Ft.) from $2,999,950
  • 4 Bedroom / 3.5 Bathroom (2,700+ Sq. Ft.) from $4,349,950

Jones has appointed Michael Cannon to Senior Sales Director, Dehlan Gwo to International Sales Director and Katie Hess to Sales Associate as lead sales team members for SPIRE. First American Title and Escrow and Caliber Home Loans, a preferred mortgage lender for SPIRE, have also been appointed to the team.

SPIRE is the first new, luxury high-rise to break ground in downtown Seattle in more than a decade. The SPIRE Preview Center confirmed Laconia’s design decisions to enhance the building specifications. For instance, Laconia removed a full floor from what is now a 41-story high-rise tower in order to offer more generous ceiling heights of nine to ten feet across remaining levels. Several typical floor plans were also assembled to afford larger living spaces including a three-bedroom, three-bathroom residence of 1,825-sq. ft. and another sub-penthouse floor plan of four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms comprising more than 2,700-sq. ft. The appliance package was updated to all BOSCH™ with gas cooking, while the penthouses and unit combinations will feature Subzero™ and Wolf™ appliances. Building amenities were also upsized.

“Our preferred location and enduring views have attracted a very discerning buyer profile that values our enhanced offering,” adds Menzies. “Our decision was to maintain a higher quality of finishes and amenities across the product spectrum, from efficiently-scaled one-bedrooms to expansive four-bedrooms condominium estates.”

According to RSIR and NWMLS research, luxury resales of downtown Seattle condominiums closed above $1 million have increased by 77 percent during the first three quarters of 2018 compared to the same period just two year ago.
