Spire is an ideal city-home for pets with Denny Park’s off leash area and Denny Substation Dog Park within blocks of our new condominium building, and nearby pet-centric businesses all around. Generally, Seattle is a very pet loving city, but Spire takes caring for canines a step further with a dog bathing station located on the ground level so you can wash your pet off after a muddy, rainy-day run, followed by a treat from the concierge before stepping inside your home. And then there’s The Hydrant, an urban pet park on Level 41 where pets and their people can sit a while and enjoy some conversation.
Every day is a treat with The Seattle Barkery as your neighbor and there are plenty of pet-friendly bars and restaurants in the neighborhood too. TeKu Tavern offers an incredible beer selection right across the street. Nab an outdoor patio table at this dog-friendly bar or give Teku’s resident Tavern dogs, Kona and Hazel, a pat at the ordering station. Nearby Marination and Portage Bay Café in South Lake Union also welcome you to sit outside and dine al fresco on the patio with your pup. Even short walks to Lake Union, the Seattle waterfront and Olympic Sculpture Park make ideal strolls for Spire dogs.
Several resident pets share how they live in[Spire]d:
Mr. Monty Bean is big on chicken and cheese, loves a good Dolly Parton song and always looks forward to time spent at the Downtown Dog Lounge or The Hydrant, Spire’s very own pet park on Level 41 where he darts around showing off his stunning ears in the wind. But Monty’s favorite thing about Spire just happens to be Chef Concierge, Russell Hathaway who has this to say about Spire:
What I love about the pets and support animals in the building is that, no matter how hectic or stressful a morning might be, when I hear their little paws coming around the corner in the lobby, I relax a bit. And when they stop for treats from the Concierge Desk and let me give them an ear scratch or belly rub, my stress just melts away.
Some of the pets in the building have been here for a couple of years now, and it’s really sweet watching them grow from little puppies to good sized dogs, and seeing their personalities develop.
Bella Boo Boo says Spire has splendid views for everyone and especially loves bird watching above all. Not big on exercise or baths, she’d much rather find the closest lap to cuddle up and nap. If you happen to have pureed cat treats on hand, this sweetie will love you forever.
Canon is an 11-year-old Mini Poodle that loves the outdoors and the sense of a small, close-knit community at Spire where people know you by name, and there’s always a familiar face.
Active dogs will find a friend in Arya, a regular at both Denny Park’s off leash area and Denny Substation Dog Park. You can also meet this striking beauty Lakeside at Seattle’s Magnuson Park. Whether you like a blue-eyed or a brown-eyed gal, Arya is the perfect match with one of each! Give her a scratch or share your peanut butter treats and you’ve made a friend for life.
